![]() ![]() I had a trivial LAN setup, so that multicast worked in my RB4011 with two IGMP proxy interfaces, WAN up and LAN bridge down, and a firewall rule in the input chain that allowed the router to hear IGMP traffic from the WAN.įor security reasons I decided recently to partition my LAN into three VLANS, main, guest, and IoT, combining them in a VLAN-filtered bridge in the router, and sending a multi-VLAN tagged trunk line off to my MikroTik VLAN-filtered L2 switches. For years my ISP has offered free local TV via IPv4 Multicast over an untagged WAN. ![]()
